The challenge
A colonial home in Wyomissing had lost its curb appeal after years of deferred maintenance. The homeowners were preparing to sell and needed a dramatic transformation, fast. The property was 4,200 square feet with 15 years since its last professional exterior cleaning, heavy algae on the north-facing siding, a stained concrete driveway, a weathered wood deck, and dirty windows throughout.
What we found
Green algae covered about 40% of the north and west sides, with black mold streaks under the eaves and oxidation dulling the cream siding. The driveway had oil and rust stains and algae in shaded areas. The deck was gray, mildewed between the boards, and its old stain was peeling.
Our approach
Day one was assessment, landscaping protection, and solution testing in hidden areas. Day two was a soft wash of the home with a biodegradable algae treatment and detail work on soffits, trim and shutters. Day three covered the driveway, pre-treated for oil, and the deck, cleaned at lower pressure. Day four was windows, screens, and a final walkthrough with the homeowners.
